Purdy vs the Kansas City Chiefs

The Iowa State product made his second-ever NFL appearance against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022, replacing then-starter Jimmy Garoppolo during a 44-23 blowout loss in Week 7.

Kyle Shanahan got his first real regular-season look at Brock Purdy, as the rookie threw for 66 yards — and unfortunately, an interception — in San Francisco’s final offensive drive of the game.

Purdy took another loss to the Chiefs — albeit on a much bigger stage — in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. The Niners QB performed well, throwing for 255 yards and a TD, but his club ultimately came up short in the 25-22 overtime loss. Adding insult to injury, many San Francisco players admitted afterwards that they didn’t know how the league’s new overtime rules work.

Purdy vs the Seattle Seahawks

Death, taxes, and the 49ers dominating the Seattle Seahawks. That’s been the story ever since Purdy took over at QB.

What was once considered an even rivalry has turned lopsided, as Purdy is a perfect 4-0 against Seattle. In fact, Purdy’s first career playoff start came in the Wild Card round against his NFC West rivals last season and is statistically his best performance to date. The Niners pivot threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns without turning the ball over in a 41-23 rout of the ‘Hawks.

Purdy vs the Baltimore Ravens

Christmas Day wasn’t too kind to Brock Purdy in 2023, as the 49ers quarterback threw four interceptions in a 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. In what is currently the worst statistical performance of his young NFL career. Purdy saw his MVP odds dramatically plummet in the process.

Brock Purdy entered Week 16 as a -200 favorite to win the MVP award.

Purdy vs the Arizona Cardinals

No team has been torched more by Brock Purdy than the Arizona Cardinals.

Through four career starts against the NFC West bottom feeders, Purdy boasts a perfect 4-0 record with a passer rating of 150.4 and a TD-INT ratio of 8-0. Until Arizona dramatically addresses the gaping holes in its defense, expect Brock to continue to torch the Cards for years to come.

Brock Purdy today against the Cardinals:

• 20/21 (95.2%)

• 283 yards

• 2 total touchdowns
