My analysis

The Denver Broncos are far better than they’re currently getting credit for.

They have a below-par group of pass catchers and Javonte Williams isn’t an elite running back, but Sean Payton is getting the best from them and rookie quarterback Bo Nix.

Nix’s rookie season hasn’t been pretty at times, but he’s improving in every game and seems to be refining his play quicker than most. He’s also doing the most important thing: finding ways to win.

Bo Nix

It’s not all about Nix, though. This is an effort led, primarily at least, by the defense. Denver ranks fifth in defensive DVOA, one spot higher than the 49ers, and looks set to be a problem against the Baltimore Ravens.

Only two teams give up fewer scrimmage yards than the Broncos. They rank fourth against the pass and seventh against the run, which gives them the tools to be able to slow down the juggernaut Baltimore offense.

Denver is 6-2 against the spread this season, while the Ravens are 4-3-1. The Ravens are a great team but they’re inconsistent. The Broncos are riding high and have the tools to be a difficult matchup for Lamar Jackson & Co.

Back Payton’s team to cover the spread, even if the upset might be a little too much for them.

Broncos Vs Ravens Same-Game Parlay

Last week’s 284 passing yards against the Panthers was a season-high for Nix, and Baltimore is one of few who give up more yardage through the air than Carolina. Nix has really stepped things up in October and averaged 217.5 passing yards per game in that span.

The Ravens are the best team in the NFL against the run but they’re still allowing 69.9 yards per game on the ground.

Lamar Jackson

Williams isn’t the best by any means, but he’s had Over 36.5 rushing yards in four of his past five games. Last week he had 17 carries, his highest amount this season. If he continues to see a high volume of carries he should cover with ease.
